Day 1 — Arrive, orient, sunset
Land at ASR or NAV, transfer to your base (Göreme is easiest for first-timers), and keep the afternoon light. Walk a short valley edge near town or climb for sunset in Uçhisar if you have energy. Book dinner early if you want a small cave table — see where to eat.
Day 2 — Balloon morning + classic Göreme
- Optional balloon flight at dawn (have a backup sleep-in plan)
- Late morning: Göreme Open Air Museum
- Afternoon: Rose / Love Valley walk or a guided ATV/horse option if you prefer less hiking
Day 3 — Underground + a second village
Morning trip to Derinkuyu (or Kaymaklı) with a guided tour if you want context. Afternoon in Ürgüp or Avanos for pottery and a slower dinner. If you have a fourth morning, keep it free for a weather-delayed balloon.

Read cave hotels before you lock the base — Göreme maximises walkability; Uçhisar and Ürgüp trade nightlife for quieter views.
