Information we collect automatically
Like most websites, our servers and hosting provider process standard request data: IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. This is used to deliver pages securely and diagnose errors.
When Google Tag Manager is enabled in site settings, additional analytics tags configured inside GTM may collect usage data according to Google’s policies and whatever tags the site operators have published.
Cookies and local storage
The site may set a locale preference cookie so English and Turkish routes resolve consistently. Analytics or tag-manager cookies are loaded only when GTM is enabled and the relevant tags fire.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect locale persistence but core guide content remains readable.
Affiliate and outbound links
Some hotel, restaurant, and activity links are affiliate links. When you follow them, third-party booking or map sites process your data under their own privacy policies. We mark sponsored booking links with appropriate rel attributes where applicable.
Cappadocia Guide does not receive your payment details from those sites.
Contact messages and updates
If you email us via the address on the contact page, we store your message to respond and track editorial corrections. We do not sell email lists from the public footer newsletter field — that form is not wired to a mailing provider in the current site build.
We may update this page when analytics tooling or contact workflows change. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised description.
