Car rental in Cappadocia is useful if you want to explore beyond the main tourist towns at your own pace. A car is particularly helpful for longer trips to Ihlara Valley, Soğanlı Valley, underground cities and less accessible parts of the region.

Yes. Kayseri Airport's current DHMİ terminal information lists seven rental car businesses. The airport is farther from the main Cappadocia tourist towns, but it can still be a convenient pickup point if your flight arrives there.

For normal sightseeing, a standard small or medium car is generally more practical than a large vehicle. Cappadocia's village streets and some hotel access roads can be narrow, so a smaller car can be easier to handle and park.
